The pretty little fishing village of Moelfre is a gem in the east coast of Anglesey, with quaint cottages leading down to the small beach and clear waters.
This traditional village has a long maritime history, remembered in the Moelfre Seawatch Centre. Here you can learn about the treacherous waters which have claimed many ships and the lifeboats which were used to save the lives of those on board, including the famed Royal Charter, wrecked in 1859.
The coastline in the area around Moelfre is particularly scenic, with peaceful quiet beaches at Lligwy Bay and Dulas Bay estuary, known for its seal population. Further south you reach popular sandy seaside beaches such as Benllech.
