The seaside village of Rhosneigr is surrounded by some of the best beaches on Anglesey, which on this island of coastal beauty is really saying something.
Sandy Traeth Crigyll (Town Beach) is closest to the amenities of the village, with all the traditional trappings such as ice cream, fish and chips and seaside shops. Close by are the wide expansive sands of Broad Beach (Traeth Llydan), the cove of Cable Bay, Porth Nobla and Porth Tyn Twyn with its beach and rock pools. These wide beaches are ideal for families and also for watersports such as surfing, windsurfing and wakeboarding.
This part of Wales is also particularly rich in prehistoric monuments and burial chambers, such as the site at Barclodiad y Gawres just south of Rhosneigr.
