Take the ferry to explore this 500 acre island owned by the National Trust.

Use the ferry service from Poole Quay (01202 631828) or Sandbanks (01929 462383) to take the trip across to the island. Once here you will be able to explore and enjoy the walks and the wildlife in peaceful surroundings, or just enjoy the views over Poole Harbour to the mainland.

Brownsea Island was where the first ever Scout camp was held in 1907, and an outdoor centre on the island encourages activities. You don't need to be a Scout as the hostel and campsite is available for everyone to use.

Electric buggy tours are available for those less mobile. Gift shop, cafe and coffee bar, which can provide you with a picnic.

A variety of summer events are held, including outdoor theatre.
