Admission ChargeLangton Matravers is off A351 west of Swanage, and here you will find a small museum, just behind the church.
An audio-visual introduction tells the history of the local stone industry and Purebck Limestone, and displays show items used to extract it with a reconstruction of underground quarry working.
The museum collection includes fossils, Victorian and Edwardian items. It is only a small museum so all the items cannot be displayed, special exhibitions rotate the exhibits shown.
