Nothe Fort

This very substantial building was opened in 1872, it has three levels, with underground passages. A popular attraction to visit as you get great views over the Jurassic Coast, as well as 70 rooms to explore.

Displays, including film shows, show the history of the fort. Every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month, except December and January, volunteers dress up as soldiers and fire cannons.

The fort holds concerts and events, and it has a restaurant.
