A lovely park for a stroll.

This city centre park offers spectacular views of Durham city from the old battlements here. The park has a long history, being created 1858, and is the site where the first Miners’ Gala was held in 1871.

Highlights include impressive floral displays and a Victorian-style conservatory. There are also lots of activities for children and sports facilities.
