RSPB Nature Reserve home to thousands of migratory birds.
The beautiful and diverse habitats of Loch Gruinart nature reserve in North West Island are important for migratory birds such as barnacle geese, white-fronted geese, and many species of wading birds, including lapwing, snipe and curlew. There is a visitor centre at the reserve that looks over the mud flats that are sometimes home to over 15,000 birds at one time.
