Restored 19th century croft.
The Red House is an extensive croft, a traditional island farmstead dating from the 19th century. It is undergoing restoration, and its outbuildings include a threshing mill with waterwheel, a grain drying kiln, threshing barn and forge. The owners provide guided tours and also run a cafe serving drinks, snacks, lunches, and evening meals if booked in advance.
