The tower of the Baroque cathedral, 212 feet high, was built in the 16th century, but the rest of the building was rebuild in the 18th century. The Cathedral is famous as Bess of Hardwich buried here. The cathedral holds a programme of events, art exhibitions, and concerts, so check the website for details. There is a coffee house just opposite the main entrance.
