Midland Railway Centre

Take a ride on a steam train.

This museum is actually located at Swanwick Station, which is accessed by a train ride from Butterley Station or by taking a 10 minute scenic walk.

The museum complex includes a restored church, a demonstration signal box, a narrow gauge railway, a miniature railway and a model railway. When the trains are not running these are still open. There is also a small country park.

At Butterley Station is the restoration sheds, another model railway and shop.

The museum holds special events, including dining-car trains and picnic days.
