Explore around this interesting church.
Bottesford, north of Melton Mowbray on the A52, is a large village with an interesting church, known locally as 'The Lady of the Vale'.
It has interesting gravestones, some of which date from 1689 and many have the Belvoir Angel motif. Inside are the tombs of the Lords of Belvoir, all very decorative. Other features include the Jacobean carved oak pulpit, dated around 1631, the tallest spire in Leicestershire, animal carvings, and colourful Victorian stained glass windows.
