A reconstruction of a pre-Roman village with a nature reserve.
The village reconstructs what an Iron Age settlement, 2,000 years ago, would look like. On the same site are two museums, one with a collection of farm equipment, including a horse drawn steam engine, the other showing artefacts from the Stone, Bronze, and Iron Ages.
You can also take a walk along trail alongside the River Gadder to a lake where there is a hide for bird-watching. Also take the time to visit the 17th century cottage and the 6th century church.
