South BedfordshireShefford

Shefford, a small market town where two rivers meet, the Hit and the Flit. Typical small town shops are infiltrated by a supermarket.

Market every Friday, and a yearly fair, Michaelmas Fair, held  on October 11th.

The High Street architecture is from the Victorian St. Francis to the church of St. Michael and All Angels, dating back to the 14th century.

There is a restored inn, The Tudor House.
