Huntingdon , Oliver Cromwell was born here, his grandfather had the George Inn and he went to the grammar school, which was also attended by Samuel Pepys. The school is now the Cromwell Museum.

Some nice buildings can still be found in and among the new developments.

Houghton Mill, take the A1123, National Trust, timber watermill on an island, demonstrations of machinery, you can buy the flour!. Pretty.

Hemingford Grey, moated mansion on bend of the River Ouse in a charming village, 12th century, off A604.
