Tourist Information on St Ives

St Ives, an historic riverside town, and not to be confused with St Ives in Cornwall.

Holds an important, and historic, annual fair that has been held here since 1110.

Sited on the River Ouse with a 15th century bridge, which is unusual, as it has a chapel built into the bridge, one of only four medieval bridge chapels in England.

A statue of Oliver Cromwell is in the marketplace, he had a local farm in the area.

Days Out around St Ives.

Of course visit the university city of Cambridge but days out to Godmanchester and Huntingdon are worth the effort.

For a quieter time, visit Willingham, a small village, with two windmills and 14th century church, take the B1050 south, off the A1123 west from St Ives.
