Llandysul tourist information
Llandysul is a small rural town with a lot of character, set in lovely Welsh countryside not far from Cardigan Bay.
Set on the fast-flowing River Teifi, it was once a major centre for the woollen industry powered by the watermills which dotted the valley. The National Wool Museum set in a restored former mill in nearby Dre-fach Felindre tells the story of the industry. You can also visit the last continuously working watermill at Rock Mill in Capel Dewi just upstream.
The river is now used for leisure - particularly canoeing and salmon and trout fishing. The surrounding area is good for walking and cycling.
Llandysul is also home to the Welsh Harp centre, producing beautiful instruments that are the heart of Welsh folk music. The centre gives tours of their workshops and hosts events and workshops in the local area.
