Tillicoultry tourist information

The mill town of Tillicoultry owes much to its position in the Ochil hills, which once provided the fast flowing streams which ran the local textile industry.

The mills have now been converted, either to housing or retail, but they still give a distinctive flavour to Tillicoultry. One of these is home to one of Scotland's largest furniture centres, and vacant warehouses are now the home of the Stirling Mills Outlet centre.

Just a short distance from the hustle and bustle of the shops, visitors can get away from it all in the stunning and peaceful Ochil hills with a network of lovely walks and trails. Mill glen is a particular highlight, passing through beautiful woodland with waterfall views.
