Abergele is a small traditional Welsh town, set close to the coast and linked to the seaside at Pensarn. The wide sand and shingle beach here is popular with visitors and windsurfers.
Just outside Abergele is fantastic Gwrych Castle, a huge and amazing early 19th century fairytale castle now sadly in a poor state of repair. Privately-owned and earmarked for restoration into a 5 star hotel, the local Preservation Trust are helping to ensure its long-term survival.
