Bolventor
|
|
| Bolventor,
a small hamlet really on the main road, best views of the moor,
including Brown Willy and Rough Tor, the main tors. Famous for
the pub, Jamaica Inn as in the
book by Daphne du Maurier. Bleak but surprisingly quite
a lot to visit nearby.
See if you catch sight of the Beast Of Bodmin, an allegedly
loose big cat, although similar to one also spotted on Exmoor
!
If you to go up Rough Tor go on the A39 and turn south just
west of Camelford, signposted and there is a carpark.
