How to get here
St Mawes, on B3289 that goes around the estuary, turn off the A39 from Truro or Falmouth Alternatively take the A3078 from the A390 Truro to St Austell road.

St Mawes tourist information
St Mawes, a small village on the Roseland peninsula, with its old fishing port and narrow, steep, streets rising from the port.
There is a good beach, and take a boat trip to view the coast from the sea.
The St Mawes castle overlooks towards Falmouth, and a visit to St Just in Roseland, a smaller, prettier, village on a creek is worth the time.
There are lots of small places to visit, both inland and on the coast, definitely an area to wander around at a leisurely pace.
You could try Porthscatho, turn off the A3078, just after St Justin-Roseland, to visit this east facing sheltered village with some nearby good beaches. Also worth a look is Portloe, some 5 miles further east, perched on steep cliffs.
