Central CornwallTruro

Truro, the cathedral town of Cornwall, was previously a stannery town which was very important for exporting ore.

It became a fashionable town in the 18th century and the Georgian buildings remain. Look at Lemon Street and Walsingham Place, an early 19th century crescent.

Today, it is a busy county town with a Main Line station. Tourist Information Centre.

The Cathedral was built around 1880 on the site of an older church.
