Chapel-en-le-Frith, a small town on the edge of the Peak District, now bypassed by the A6 to leave the town quiet.

Interesting cobbled market place, and nearby is St Thomas à Becket church, where after the battle of Ribbleton Moor in 1648, 1,500 Scottish soldiers where kept prisoner for 2 weeks, England's own "black hole", 48 died there.
