Lydford Gorge is the main reason for coming here and is well worth the visit, although very busy on a nice day in the summer in the holiday season.

Lydford Gorge is spectacular, as the 100ft waterfall gushes into Devil's Caldron. A popular tourist attraction, be careful on the wet path. Lydford Castle, built 1195, you can see the remains.. Used as a court and prison for local tin mine workers. Location map
