Central DevonPrincetown

Princetown, home of Dartmoor Prison, this grey town sits in the middle of  Dartmoor 1400 ft up.Princetown was named after the Prince Regent.

The town church and a lot of Dartmoor roads were built by the prisoners.

The prison was closed as unfit in 1816, many died, reopened in 1882.
