South Molton is a small town, with some interesting buildings, the town was once a thriving wool town until the mid 19th century.
It was a coach stop on the way to Barnstaple and near the copper and iron mines of the nearby village of North Molton.
Small shopping centre with lots of pubs, antique shops and art galleries. Busy on market day, the large car park shows how busy it gets on market day. Bypassed now by the North Devon Link Road.
Small museum behind the 18th century Guildhall has local exhibits and holds exhibitions. Worth a quick stroll round.
