|
|
| Teignmouth
is at the mouth of the River Teign which goes inland to
Newton Abbot.
A port as well as a family seaside holiday resort, Teignmouth
is a major exporter of china clay.
With a popular beach of fine sand and shingle the town is
a few miles from Shaldon, just across the river over the bridge,
and is a fine yachting centre, popular in summer for sailing
on the river.
