Tiverton
|
|
| Tiverton,
was once the industrial centre of Devon, mainly fabrics.
The fine old merchants buildings in the town remain along
with Tiverton Castle, worth a visit, and the canal
which has boat trips, horse drawn.
Buildings of note include St Peter's Church and the council
offices.
The town has a small, but busy, shopping centre, with some
out of town shops. Local cinema.
Note that the train station, on the main line to London,
is outside the town.
