Torquay tourist information

Torquay, part of Torbay, the English Riviera, is built on several hills leading down to the coast.

It has a major shopping area, which is car free so use the car parks, with theatre, cinema, restaurants, and clubs.

The large modern marina now adds to the towns attractiveness, book your sea cruises at the harbourside.

Whilst the town centre attracts most people, excellent beaches can be found at Babbacombe, with a cliff railway to take you down, and other beaches around the coast. Water sports available on the main beach.

Gardens are down by the pier on the coast road, where it is a short walk to the beach, with some sedate amusements such as the Putting Green on the seafront by the beach.

If you are more adventurous, for the last few years, in the summer months, there has been a tethered balloon to go up in, you get a great view over the bay.

Lots of things to do and see, wet or dry weather.
