East DorsetSwanage

Swanage, a small resort town overlooking Swanage Bay,with great views from Durlston Head south of the town, and good beach at Studland to the north, although you have to pay to go on it in the summer as its owned by the National Trust.

The town is on the Isle Of Purbeck, not an island just where the land juts out into the English Channel, with Corfe Castle close by.

The inding streets of Swanage follow the hills down to the seafront, where there are attractive buildings around Mill Pond off the Main Street.

Tourist Information centre in the town.
