Weymouth, a seaside town and favourite with leisure boats, it was
originally a fishing village, and it grew in the 17th century before becoming a major

Georgian Esplanade looks out over Weymouth Bay and its safe, clean sandy beach. The
town played a key role in the D-Day invasion.
