Bearsden is an attractive and affluent suburb of Glasgow.
Positioned on the line of the Antonine Wall, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Bearsden was a busy place in Roman times. In the 1970s the remains of Baths that served one of the Roman forts defending the fortifications were discovered, and the remains are now maintained by Historic Scotland.
One of the best places to view the wall itself is at New Kilpatrick Cemetery on Boclair Road.
