Portobello tourist information

To the east of the city, just along the coast from Leith, is Portobello. Known as 'Porty' by the locals, this is Edinburgh's own private seaside.

With a wide sandy beach and promenade, this is old-school British coastline - complete with ice cream, fish and chip shops and pubs if the Scottish weather doesn't allow for a dip in the sea
