HarwichHarwich

Harwich, one of England's ferry ports, busy with cars, people and freight leaving for the Continent, yet a town with some history, facing Felixstowe in Suffolk across the estuary.

Blue Flag beach at Dovercourt, just south, and small villages to explore.

Harwich has some "claims to fame", the Mayflower that took the Pilgrim Fathers to America was a Harwich ship, and Samuel Pepys was it's MP.

Quite a lot to see here with the two lighthouses (called High and Low), Georgian buildings and the restored Electric Palace Cinema, built in 1911.
