Eastern East SussexHartfield

Hartfield, only a small village, but nicely formed.

At the heart of Pooh Country, Hartfield Village High Street offers the visitor extensive refreshment facilities:

The "Honey Pot" tea-room, the "Hay Wagon" and the "Anchor" inns - each with restaurant and car parking. And close to "Pooh Corner" (home of the world's largest collection of "Pooh-phernalia") is "Woods Stores" (closed Sunday afternoons) where you can buy takeaway snacks, ices and drinks.

These places, together with the nearby "Dorset Arms" in Withyham, the "Gallipot" on the road to Forest Row, and the "Hatch" at Colemans Hatch, give you a choice of where to go before and after your visit into Pooh Country.

A good base for days out in the country.
