Flintshire Tourist Information

Welcome to Flintshire ...
Nestled in the far north east corner of Wales, Flintshire owes much of its character to its borderlands location, including rugged castles at Hawarden, Flint and its neighbour at Ewloe.

Just a short hop over from the English towns of Chester and Liverpool, this part of North Wales also has a gentle side, attracting visitors for generations to its beautiful countryside and coastline, such as the stunning Clwydian range of hills and the wonderful sandy Talacre beach. You can discover more along the Offa's Dyke, Wat's Dyke and Pilgrim's Way long distance footpaths.

The historic towns of Flintshire are also great places to explore. Don't miss the beautiful buildings of the St Winefride's Well shrine which gave Holywell its name, with nearby Basingwerk Abbey, and the attractive market town of Mold.
