These beautiful gardens are sited on the remains of a medieval mill-stone quarry.

The 4 acres of Lea Gardens woodland garden contain a unique collection of over 500 rare varieties of rhododendrons and azaleas.

There are also many beautiful kalmias.

The quarry site has created an excellent rock garden with a huge number of alpines, dwarf conifers, acers, heathers and spring bulbs.

New woodland walks have been created with ornamental trees.

Bird-boxes have been attached to many of the trees and the gardens are full of the sound of bird song.
