Risley Hall, a splendid manor house dating back to the 15th century, was built by Sir Michael Willoughby.
The extensions added to the house in the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries have given Risely Hall great character.
The house is surrounded by 12 acres of beautiful formal gardens.
These include a Grade II listed stone terrace which runs for 200 metres above a moated stream. The terrace overlooks the great lawn, a vast sweep of perfectly manicured grass punctuated by spectacular golden yews.
