This rambling garden covers 6 acres and if bisected by the delightful River Dore with a Bridge to a 4 acre meadow full of interesting trees and a pond.
The basis of the garden is formal but this is softened by the profusion of flowers, climbers, trees and shrubs, beautifully planted to complement each other.
Two large lawns bordered by splendid herbaceous borders are dominated by two ‘Sequoiadendron giganteum’ trees.
A formal garden at the top end of the garden stretches the width of the property. This has a superb collection of viburnums, prunus, cornus, acers and salix with marvellous foliage colour.
Beside the fast flowing Dore is a shady river walk with many ferns and hostas.
A map is available to guide visitors around the garden and identify unusual plants.
