West KentGreat Comp Garden

Great Comp GardenThe 7 acre garden at Great Comp is one of the finest in the country.

It was created 40 years ago by Mr Cameron, the present owner.  The garden has sweeping lawns, terraces, ruins and a peaceful woodland garden with a superb collection of specimen trees.  There are also island beds and borders with shrubs, heathers and perenials, including many rare and choice plants.

Elsewhere in the garden there are conifers, roses and a new Italianate garden.  In the spring there is a beautiful display of hellebores.

A Festival of Chamber Music is held in Great Comp Garden between July and September.
