This abundantly planted Grade I listed garden was created by the late Margery Fish around the old stone manor house.

Mrs Fish wrote numerous books on cottage gardening and introduced many rare plants thought to have been extinct to East Lambrook Manor.

The charmingly informal garden has been carefully restored by recent owners and the profuse planting, including rare specimens, gives a feeling of timeless tranquility.

The National Collection of hardy geraniums (cranesbill) is held here and there are rare euphorbias and primulas collected by Mrs Fish. In this romantic garden the abundance of plants almost obscure the winding paths in some places. In other parts there is more order with neatly clipped evergreens edging a walk.

Many of the unusual plants at East Lambrook Manor have been propagated and are available for sale in the plant shop.
