High Beeches has 20 acres of tranquil woodland and water gardens.

The gardens were laid out by the Loder family from Leonardslee. They were then beautifully maintained by the Boscawen family and today the gardens are cared for by the High Beeches Gardens Conservation Trust.

Rare plants grow beside rippling streams with delightful vistas.

There are 4 acres of natural wildflower meadows which include cowslips and many varieties of orchids. The garden is magnificent in the spring when the magnolias, camellias, maples and rhododendrons provide a blaze of colour. These are under-planted with spring bulbs, primulas, iris and naturalised gentians.

In the autumn the foliage colour of acers, parrotias, and nyssas gives a another spectacular display.

High Beeches contains the National Collections of stuartias, styrax and pieris.

There is also a tree trail and a picnic area.
