Pwllheli is a pleasant and bustling Welsh seaside resort, blessed with several beaches and a sheltered harbour which has made it one of the most popular sailing destinations in Wales.
Pwllheli has long been popular with holiday-makers, and is a characterful market town with all the amenities you would expect, a good place from which to explore the beautiful Llyn Peninsula. Take a stroll along the waterfront and watch the sailing boats. You can also take a pleasure cruise along the stunning Llyn coastline or Bardsey Island, and watch out for the local seabirds, seals and dolphins.
Out of town between Pwllheli and Criccieth is the lovely restored Penarth Fawr Medieval House, with its fine vaulted wooden ceiling. One of the outbuildings is now a small arts and craft gallery and cafe.
