Basingstoke
|
|
| Basingstoke, is
a large, prosperous and modern town, with a modern road system
and major in and out of town shopping areas.
There is a lot of housing, yet the surrounding countryside
is pleasant.
The town is the headquarters of some of the UK's largest
companies, and the Automobile Association.
A bit lacking in culture, but has cinemas, The Haymarket
Theatre, and The Anvil for entertainment as well as
nightclubs and pubs.
Visit Milestones, a new "active " museum.
