Bucklers Hard, the village is the attraction here, a small nice village with 18th century houses, all the creation of the Second Duke of Montagu.

The village is on the river with cottages facing a waterside street, and was a. very important ship building centre in the 18th century using New Forest oaks, they built 30 ships for Nelson including the Agamemnon..

You pay to enter the village, but this includes entry to the museum and the re-constructions such as the restored homes and the inn with costumed figures and audio presentations. Admission Charge
