Romsey is located on the River Test, one of England's famous trout and salmon rivers, this market town was built around a 10th century abbey which was sold to the townspeople for £100 when Henry VIII dissolved the monasteries.
A busy market town, the 12th century church is worth a look as it has the deed of sale of the abbey, with Saxon culture and the tomb of Earl Mountbatten of Burma.
