This award-winning hotel and restaurant offers free Wi-Fi, free parking and luxury en suite rooms, close to the centre of Chesterfield, the eastern edge of the Peak District and the M1 motorway. The Buckingham family are well known for their warm and friendly boutique hotel and the superb Restaurant with One Table and the Clowns Conservatory.

The restaurant is unusual in that there are no menus, which means meals are prepared to your personal requirements with the emphasis on quality and freshness. At this cosy restaurant, there is no compromise on quality, ingredients or taste, and excellence comes as standard.

Amongst its many accolades, the hotel has gained an award for Best Breakfast of the Year and Best Restaurant of the Year from the Derbyshire Food and Drink Awards. In Newbold, a residential area of Chesterfield, this attractive and comfortable hotel consists of a pair of Victorian semi-detached houses that have been sympathetically converted.

There is a choice of 4 menu levels: bronze, silver, gold and platinum. The levels reflect the variation of the ingredients and occasionally the degree of technical expertise. A meal will be created that is unique to you and your guests. The best meals are the ones that are created on the night, making the most of the market produce available that day.

Your meal can also be enjoyed in the Clowns Conservatory Restaurant.

Getting To The Buckingham's Hotel

By Car: From junction 29 of the M1: - Take the 2nd exit at the roundabout onto the A617 to Chesterfield. - At next roundabout take the 2nd exit and go 400 yards to another roundabout (Homebase) and take the 2nd exit (Kiwk Fit). - Follow the road to the town centre (roundabout with car park in centre). - At the traffic lights (Eyres) get into the right-hand lane and follow the road round. - At the next traffic lights move to the left-hand lane (by the multi-storey car park) and follow the road round to the mini roundabout (Jet station). - Take the 1st exit, signposted Barlow (B6051). - Buckinghams is 800 yards along this road on your right, just after the zebra crossing.
From Manchester: - Follow the A619 to Chesterfield until you come to a roundabout (B&Q on your right). - Take the 1st exit (Foljambe Road) and follow the road until you come to traffic lights. - At the traffic lights go straight ahead (passing the side entrance of Chesterfield Football Ground). - Follow the road to a T-junction (one way street). - At the T-junction move into your right-hand lane, turn right and immediately move into the left-hand lane (Cross Street). - Follow the road, turning into Queens Street (3rd road on your left). - At the end of Queens Street turn left - Buckinghams is 10 metres further along the road.
From Sheffield: - Follow the A61 to Chesterfield. - At the roundabout (J E James and Little Chef) take the 4th exit (B6057). - Follow the road straight on until you reach a roundabout (Donkey Derby). - Take the 2nd exit and go straight ahead over a mini roundabout. - At the next mini roundabout (Jet Station) take your 2nd exit, signposted Barlow (B6051). - Buckinghams is 800 yards along this road on your right, just after the zebra crossing.

Area Information

The hotel is fifteen minutes from England's 4th largest city of Sheffield. The M1 is only 5 miles away, and the local bus and train stations are within a few minutes of the door. It is a 5-minute walk to Chesterfield, where you can see the Crooked Spire of its parish church and visit one of the largest open-air markets in the country.
