The Old Plough is a picturesque 18th century inn situated just 4 miles from Rutland Water and only 2 miles from the town of Oakham. It offers a full English breakfast each morning and free parking. Rooms at the Old Plough are decorated using neutral colours and wooden furnishings. They all feature an en suite bathroom, a TV and tea/coffee making facilities. Guests can enjoy a drink in the on-site village pub or have a meal in the conservatory from the a la carte menu. There is also a garden and patio area for guests to relax in.

The city of Nottingham is 35 miles from the inn and Peterborough can be reached in 40 minutes by car. The city of Leicester is just a 30-minute drive away and the M1 Motorway is 20 miles west of the property.
