Situated in Thetford, The Thomas Paine Hotel is converted from three 18th-century cottages. Many of the original Victorian features are retained, including high ceilings, stained glass windows and wooden beams.

Rumoured to be the birthplace of author and inventor Thomas Paine, today the Grade II-listed building offers homemade food and a range of traditional ales. Daily dining is available in the informal restaurant, and fine dining is available in a separate, private restaurant from Thursday to Saturday.
