Ashford is now a major terminus for the Channel Tunnel trains and has been rapidly expanding as a result.
Originally Ashford was a market town based on farms on the Romney Marsh, it is still a market town, now expanded as a railway junction.
Old buildings remain, such as the 15th century church, old grammar school, and the Templar Barracks which houses the museum of Intelligence Corps.
Lots to see in the area around in the Kent countryside.
Tourist Information Centre in the town.
