| Penshurst,
a small attractive village, where the rivers Eden and Medway
meet, we don't usually recommend pubs but the Spotted Dick just
outside the village has good food.
The church reached through the half timbered cottages of
Leicester Square, has stained glass windows.
A good base to visit the historic houses in the area, take
a map if you are walking as lots of small roads and lanes
wind through the area.
